The District of Columbia Infrastructure Academy (DCIA) will have an open house on the morning of Friday, May 18th. The DCIA is located at 2330 Pomeroy Road SE, in Washington, D.C. Our doors open at 9:30 am, and we will be having two tours of the facility—one starting at 10 am and another at 11 am—to discuss the genesis and mission of the DCIA, where we are today two months after our launch on March 12th, and where we are going in the future. Please send an RSVP to DCIA@dc.gov and let us know which tour you plan to attend.
The DCIA is a public-private partnership spearheaded by DC Mayor Muriel Bowser to ensure residents have a clear pathway to career opportunities developing and maintaining the critical infrastructure of the District, including electrical, natural gas, and water utilities, transportation, renewable and green energy, and IT infrastructure. All DCIA programming is aligned with industry, with major infrastructure employers such as Exelon, Pepco Holdings, Washington Gas, DC Water, and WMATA making significant investments financially and in-kind (including validating program design and curriculum) to develop a sustainable pipeline of skilled workers
