National Infrastructure Week: Newport and Bristol, Rhode Island

This year, May 14th to May 21st is National Infrastructure Week across the United States. Joining nearly 400 organizations across the nation, Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank is planning to bring a week of exciting announcements, roundtable discussions, and project highlights across Rhode Island. On May 15th, the following locations will feature Infrastructure Week events put on by the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank:

Newport County Chamber of Commerce

  • Light Lunch
  • Roundtable with City / Town Officials and local business leaders to discuss infrastructure investment opportunities

Middletown Library

  • ¬†Meetings with Local Public Works Directors & Local Planners

3rd Beach Road, Sachuest Point, Middletown (1-2PM)

  • Site visit to see a culvert project funded with the Bay and Watershed Resotration Grants
  • Learn about a culvert project and process through which it was funded

Warren WWTF (1-2:30PM)

  • Announcement of Warren Wastewater Treatment Facility Ground Breaking
  • Town of Warren coordinating groundbreaking event

Portsmouth CSSLP Site (3- 3:30PM)

  • Site visit to a homeowner using the Community Septic System Loan Program to rehab their septic system
