National Infrastructure Week: Washington County, Rhode Island

This year, May 14th to May 21st is National Infrastructure Week across the United States. Joining nearly 400 organizations across the nation, Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank is planning to bring a week of exciting announcements, roundtable discussions, and project highlights across Rhode Island. On May 16th, the following locations will feature Infrastructure Week events put on by Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank:

Quonset Development Corporation and Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce

  • Breakfast
  • Roundtable with City / Town Officials and local business leaders to discuss infrastructure investment opportunities

North Kingstown Library AND Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce

  • Meetings with Local Public Works Directors & Local Planners

Pier Cleaners, South Kingstown (12:30-1:30PM)

  • Announce 50 High Street (C-PACE) solar project completion and a second solar project that the owner is financing in Westerly
  • Larry Fish is the property owner, owns Kingston Cleaners and Pier Cleaners
  • Project was financed by a local bank, Freedom National Bank
  • Project has a Commerce REF Grant
  • Ribbon cutting event – Rhode Island General Treasurer Seth Magaziner attending

Wickford Village, North Kingstown (1-1:30PM)

  • Site visit to a Pumping Station at Wickford Village Commercial Area in North Kingstown
  • Recently completed project upgrading the pump station and sewering Wickford Village
