The Power and Value of Rail in the U.S.

Hosted by Association of American Railroads

Join InsideSources for an important policy luncheon on the value of rail — both freight and passenger — to the United States economy.

This bipartisan event, sponsored by the Association of American Railroads and InsideSources, will begin with an awards presentation led by AAR President and CEO Edward R. Hamberger honoring Senator John Thune of South Dakota. Senator Bill Nelson of Florida has been invited.

These remarks will be followed by a discussion with leading experts on various parts of the rail network, including short line railroads, suppliers and passenger rail. Moderated by InsideSources Publisher Shawn McCoy, the panelists will offer insight on the correlation between public policy, railroad investments, and U.S. economic prowess.

Panelists include:

  • Amtrak — Caroline Decker, Vice President, Government Affairs and Corporate Communications
  • Association of American Railroads — Ian Jefferies, SVP, Government Affairs
  • American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association — Jo Strang, VP, Safety and Regulatory Policy
  • Railway Supply Institute — Nicole Brewin, Vice President, Government Affairs
