The Embassy of Australia and the U.S. Department of State are hosting a public-private dialogue on Indo-Pacific infrastructure development issues, during Infrastructure Week in Washington, DC.
The discussion will:
- Raise awareness among private sector participants of US and Australian government commitments and initiatives on infrastructure development in the Indo-Pacific region
- Deepen understanding in governments of the practical constraints and opportunities facing the private sector in making infrastructure investments in the region
- Identify priority issues and opportunities in the region to address through public-private cooperation
Business community representatives from finance, construction/engineering, and sectors directly impacted by infrastructure gaps will be invited to share real-world perspectives on the constraints and opportunities for private infrastructure investment in the region. Your participation will inform the direction of US-Australia cooperation, while providing the private sector with insights into government efforts on this issue.
