PWD’s #PhillyWaterBar Pop-Up

PWD’s #PhillyWaterBar pop-up is providing free water in the City Hall Courtyard (weather
permitting) from noon to 1 p.m.

Inspired by a similar project pioneered in Minneapolis, the Philly Water Bar opened on April 24
is a colorful new campaign to bust myths about the safety and quality of tap water and highlight
our city’s high-quality tap as a sustainable, affordable, safe and healthy beverage that’s available
in the home of every Philadelphia resident.

Green City, Clean Waters Highlight: Philadelphia enter the ninth year of Green City, Clean Waters
this June. A national model that helped communities around the nation see Green Stormwater
Infrastructure as a real solution to the challenge of reducing pollution from urban runoff and
combined sewer overflows, the program is continuing to expand and hit new milestones.

We’ll take a look at a recent report from the Greater Philadelphia Sustainable Business Network
summarizing progress and exploring the benefits of adding more nature to our neighborhoods
while keeping billions of gallons of polluted water out of our rivers and creeks each year.

Baker Centre Water Main Project: Highlights on a recently completed transmission main
project that greatly improves our water system’s resilience and protects residents and
businesses from serious water main breaks.
