National Infrastructure Week: Greater Providence Area, Rhode Island

This year, May 14th to May 21st is National Infrastructure Week across the United States. Joining nearly 400 organizations across the nation, Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank is planning to bring a week of exciting announcements, roundtable discussions, and project highlights across Rhode Island. On May 14th, the following locations will feature Infrastructure Week events put on by Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank:


Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce

  • Breakfast
  • Roundtable with City / Town Officials and local business leaders to discuss infrastructure investment opportunities

Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank

  • Meetings with Local Public Works Directors & Local Planners

Providence Water Supply Board (2:15-3:15PM)

  • Announce Providence Lead Pipe Remediation at Providence Water (“Lead Free” Program Launch)
  • Press event led by Providence Water

Narragansett Bay Commission – Bucklin Point Wastewater Treatment Facility (3-4PM)

  • Site visit to Bucklin Point Wastewater Treatment Facility in East Providence
  • Learn from the facility operators about future resiliency improvement plans

Pawtucket Medical Center (3- 4PM)

  • Announcement of the first 1st C-PACE closing in Pawtucket, solar project at a small office building
  • Pawtucket Medical Center is the tenant
  • City of Pawtucket leading event and announcement – Mayor Donald Grebian attending
  • Project also has a Commerce REF grant
